The Girl on the Couch

‘The Girl on the Couch’

This picture is an imitation of a work by Annie Leibovitz, taken for a friend’s art class.

This picture was taken with my old phone: Samsung Galaxy S Captivate.

I hope selective colorization speaks for itself, but if it doesn’t, – I am a 100% amateur, non-pro photographer-wannabe. I am given to understand that no professional, self-respecting photographer would ever do anything like this, and that knowledge bothers me not in the slightest.

And speaking of my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ35: this picture probably comes close to showing the limits of what can be done with that type of non-pro camera.

All the visible colours are ‘as is’. I do not use Photoshop, not ever.

Not only did the sky look green, but the clouds stretched across it resembled a tightly woven red rope.

I had to chase this little guy across the beach. Sideways.

And this amazing bird just landed right in front of me. I was quick not to waste the opportunity.

TX Lightning Storms are a bit of an obsession of mine.

I quite literally just stood there, with my camera raised high in the air, while it was striking all around me.

I was meant to have been photographing the garden; instead, I found some odd bits and pieces.

Little Ant, can you see him?

Picture taken with Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ35. I find that photographing people is incredibly difficult. Even more so than Live Concert Photography that I truly enjoy.

… Still trying to improve my ‘people’ skills.

There’s no question that black/white is the visual I prefer. I find the simplicity of just two colours more revealing than the full spectrum of colour could ever be.
