Handmade Portrait Bracelets usually run somewhere between $95 — $145, depending on materials’ cost and the time I have invested in each one. Since every individual bead is attached by hand, one at a time, it takes me roughly 23-25 hours to weave (on average) 2,700 of them together. These are one-of-a-kind, wearable, extremely durable works of art. They are almost indestructible and, after all, uniquely beautiful.

The bracelet was more of an experiment than anything else, – I was not sure how recognizable this angle would be. I keep stressing that these little pieces of handmade art may look fragile, but they are anything but. Someone had just made a joke that if I’d made it long enough, you could tow your car with it, which is not all that far from the truth. The bracelet is durable, I’d even say that it’s indestructible by hand (if you have a hammer, well, that’s a different story!). It looks different in various types of lighting, but is meant to look best against skin, – it’s meant to be worn, not framed.
I’ve just finished another beaded bracelet. This is Version 2.0 of my ‘Eyes’ bracelet, – it’s meant to look like Rufus Wainwright’s eyes from the cover of this Judy album, but whether or not I’ve managed to successfully translate that image into beads is for you to decide. The original version of the same bracelet was made with only five different shades, I’d like to think that in this particular case more is indeed better, as it allowed me to create an image with much greater detail.

A lot of people ask me if these handmade bracelets are durable and the answer is: YES! They are, in fact, so durable that you wouldn’t be able to tear one up with just your hands. You simply aren’t strong enough. Every bead is double- or triple-secured with a thread that an average pair of scissors can’t easily cut. If you want to destroy my beaded bracelet, either be armed with a hammer to crush the beads or with a razor to slash off each individual row. And even then it will take you some time…
Here you can view my realistic charcoal and graphite pencil portraits, as well as many other things that I sometimes find myself interested in.
I first picked up a pencil in January 2012 and I haven’t put it down ever since. I draw from pictures, prefer visually compelling images with high light-to-shadow contrast and I am absolutely in love with the beauty, complexity and uniqueness of every human face.
Since I am new to drawing, my technique, if it can even be called as such, can only be described as ‘doing what feels right’. I draw mostly for pleasure but I also undertake commissions.
If you find yourself wanting to commission a custom work, please visit the About and Pricing pages for more information. A unique, hand-drawn portrait of a loved one will make an unexpected and highly treasured gift for any occasion!
