I’ve just finished another beaded bracelet. This is Version 2.0 of my ‘Eyes’ bracelet, – it’s meant to look like Rufus Wainwright’s eyes from the cover of this Judy album, but whether or not I’ve managed to successfully translate that image into beads is for you to decide. The original version of the same bracelet was made with only five different shades, I’d like to think that in this particular case more is indeed better, as it allowed me to create an image with much greater detail.
2,716 Toho Beads in 10 neutral colours were used

A lot of people ask me if these handmade bracelets are durable and the answer is: YES! They are, in fact, so durable that you wouldn’t be able to tear one up with just your hands. You simply aren’t strong enough. Every bead is double- or triple-secured with a thread that an average pair of scissors can’t easily cut. If you want to destroy my beaded bracelet, either be armed with a hammer to crush the beads or with a razor to slash off each individual row. And even then it will take you some time…
